Accomplishments
Dubuque Dance Studio and Gymnastics Club is a complete educational facility.  Many of our students now earn a living leading professional lives with the
training from Dubuque Dance Studio and Gymnastics Club.  Our students who graduate / are certified with us to be staff members now hold / have held positions
in New York, Florida, Hawaii.  Many others now own their own studios.

Hawaii 2006---"Dubuque Dance Company" - Performed at Pearl Harbor Sunday, June 18th, and on the Norwegian Cruise Line "Pride of Aloha" on June 21st a
standing ovation lead to a follow up performance on the 23rd.

Individual Accomplishments
Ginny Luke
Ginny received the Nicholas Green Award for Distinguished Art Students; she won “Honorable Mention” on violin in the Midwest Young Artists’ Walgreen’s Concerto
Competition in Schaumburg, IL.  She choreographed Eisenhower’s Production of “School House Rock Jr.” in 2004, she portrayed the character “Pat” in this years
production of “Li’l Abner” at Washington Jr. High.  Ginny will be touring Austria, Czech, and Hungary with the Preucil School of Music String Orchestra this summer.  
She will be studying with professionals Will Preucil and Steven Rose at the Encore! Music Camp in Cleveland this summer and portrayed “Gretel” from “Hansel
and Gretel” on May 20th, 2005. Ginny is an active member of both the choir and band at Washington Jr. High where she also plays the saxophone.  Ginny began
playing violin, piano and began dance at Dubuque Dance Studio at the age of 3.  She was in the documentaries “My Father’s Fun and “ship Ablaze” The Wreck of
the General Slocum” on the History Channel in 2002 where she played the role of Kathryn O’Donnell.  Since the age of 4 Ginny has appeared in approximately 12
productions at the Grand Opera House.  Ginny sung the National Athem at Pearl Harbor.  She recently has her own single on the market and is attending
Interlochen School for the Arts.

Alicia Hohmann
Alicia was a Dance Caravan Kid in the summer of 2004.  At the end of this national tour she received the “Miss DCK” for overall performance, talent, dedication and
positive attitude.  While a Junior on the Dance Company, she received the Junior version of the “Most Promising Talent”, the “Junior Danny and Betty Hoctor Award”
at Dance Caravan, as well as a full PDTA scholarship.  She was a Cheerleader at Dubuque Senior High School, a volunteer choreographer for the Central High
School Hip Hop Club, and an  instructor for us.  Alicia has performed at the Orange Bowl, Disney World, on the Royal Caribbean Cruise, and in June 2006 will be
performing at Pearl Harbor and on the Norwegian Cruise Line - Pride of Hawaii.  Alicia graduated from Senior High School and is attending NICC, while continuing
to instruct at our Dubuque,  Galena, and Peosta locations.  She was employed with Dance Caravan the summer of 2006.  She has received many choreography
awards and scholarships in the past two years.

Kimberly Utzig
Kimberly was awarded full PDTA scholarships and was a choreographer for Hempstead High Schools production of “Godspell” this spring.  She is a member of
the Blue Jays Dance Team at Creighton.

Hannah Wolf
Hannah auditioned and was accepted at Interlochen Arts Academy, and a Dance Caravan Kid in 2005.  Hannah is a former gymnasts and a gymnastics instructor
for us.  Hannah will a member of the Wahlert High School dance team and is pursuing dance in LA.

Kerstin Rowley
Kerstin started here at the age of three and continued through grade school.  She continued her ballet at The Academy of Ballet and choreographed tap and other
styles of dance on occasion

Jamie Helling
Jamie has been trained at Dubuque Dance Studio from the age of 8 - her high school graduate year.  She was on the Wahlert dance team for four years.  She was
awarded a full PDTA scholarship in ballet.  Jamie has auditioned and was accepted to tour with Dance Caravan Kids and Dance Olympus VIP’s.  She
choreographed 2 numbers in Wahlert’s “The Passion”.  Jamie has performed at the Orange Bowl, Disney World, and on the Royal Caribbean.  She loves to
compete.  Through her training with us - she will be qualified to give instruction in dance.  

Latoya Sargent
Choreographed for the Hip Hop Congress 2005, former DuHawk Dancer.  Latoya attends Loras where she is in the honors program and has been awarded the St.
Thomas Award.  She was accepted with Lead America which will transport her to Washington DC and then to Chicago for a month working as an office
coordinator.  Her Mock Trial Team took 6th place at Nationals.  Latoya started with Dubuque Dance at the age of 3 and is an instructor.  Latoya has performed with
us at Disney World and on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

Molly Jubeck
Molly  toured nationally as a 2005 Dance Caravan Kid.    She was recently selected as a member of the Dubuque Area Youth Leadership Council for the 2005/2006
school year.  Molly also toured with Dance Olympus as a VIP Kid dancer in 2003 and with Dance Caravan in 2004. She graduated from West Dubuque High School
and has been a member of the West Dubuque Pom Squad throughout high school.  Molly was a member of the Iowa State Pom Squad, and through her training
with us will be qualified to give instruction in dance.  She is currently pursuing dance in LA.

Jacqueline Brahm
Jacqueline routinely makes the Deans List.  She received all of her youth - high school graduate training with us, and was trained to be an instructor.  She has
worked with our dancers six years. Jacqueline's advanced training here qualified her for her dance teaching jobs as of 2000.  We are proud to have trained her.  
Jacqueline was a member of the Iowa State Pom Squad, and is currently a school teacher in Dubuque.

Katie VonAh
Katie was trained here as a youth and trained as an instructor.  She received her first job as a choreographer through Dubuque Dance Studio for Senior High
School.  Katie  was able to open and build her own business primarily on her training at our facility.  

Melissa Biermann
Melissa started her training with us at the age of six and is extremely talented in vocals, acting and dance.  She is using her talents in activities and events at school
as well as employment to earn her way through college.In 2005, Melissa was the co-choreographer for celebration Iowa, and in 2006 she choreographed their
show. This is a group of extremely talented high school students who spend the summer touring Iowa. Melissa is presently a student at Luther college.  She
received the most promising talent at Dance Caravan by receiving the Danny and Betty Hoctor Award.  She has also choreographed routines for state competitions
for high school teams.
